Finish My Logo

After going all the process in making the logo. the logo will be look like the picture above.

change the word style

• For this picture, i will show how to use Apprearance on the word. first click word and go to the expand panel. find the "Apprearance". click it go to down left u will find "add new stoke". click it and u will see "fill" and "stoke" at it. change the color like the leaf color for "fill" and "stoke" color will take the same color as the ellipse shape.
• next go down and click "add new affect" then go to "path". click on  "offside path" later u will have other application for it. 

• on the offset panel i change the offset to 5. other like "join" & "miter limit" i just ignore it and then click ok. next deselect all.

Color it

• To color the picture. click the picture that i want to color it. example i want to color the leaf. then choice the "color guide" on the Expand panel and pick up the color that i want. the color that i use is green compound and deselect.
• For the ellipse shape click on it first and pick up the color also on the expand panel and go to "swatches" and choice green (C=90 M=30 Y=95 K=30). lastly deselect.
• like before, click the shape of product below the ellipse shape. do the same step like before. i go to "swatches" and take (C=50 M=0 Y=100 K=0) as it colors.
• lastly for the word. doing the same step like before. but for the "stoke" & "fill" we use two kind of color. for the fill i take the same color like the shape of the product. for the "stoke" i use the same color as the ellipse shape color.

• For this picture, i will show how to use gradient on the product shape. first click shape and go to the expand panel. find the "Gradient panel" click on it. u will have small window like picture above. click the gradient menu button and choose liner gradient from the menu.
• double click the black color stop and change it to green color like the product shape. change type of gradient to Radial and move the gradient bar until it look like the picture. lastly deselect all.

To put word

• Click "Type tool" and drag it inside the ellipse shape to make a word on it. i use "Arial Rounded MT Bold" font and 52 size of the font.

To make some root at the leaf picture

• To made the root on the leaf. i use the "Pencil tool" and use it by drawing it from the bottom to the upper leaf and deselect it.

To move the same picture into the artbook

• From the drawing that i have import. i use "Pen Tool" and click it on the drawing by line. make sure u change the color of stroke that not the same as the drawing color.easy for us to see the different of the line.

• after finish click on the drawing that i want. i use the selection tool(V) to drag the drawing and u get the shape like the drawing. example like above.

•  still use the "pen tool" this time doing it at the different drawing.use it at the drawing under the name "herbalife" and do the same step.

•  use the "selection tool" to drag and move it to the ellipse shape the i have made before and put it above the shape like the picture.

• use "selection tool" to move the second drawing and put it below of the shape like the picture above.

How me do it..

First :

• i scan the drawing then open it on the AI  and the the logo look like that

• i start with the base, select the ellipse tool from the rectangle tool group in the tools panel. click on the art board. type 6 in into the width field and 4 in into the height field.
• for the next shape. doing the same but minimize the size to 3 in into the width and 2 in into the height field. and put them together like the picture.

Assignment 1

Redesign Logo

we must to redesign, using Illustrator, a known international logo and customise it to fit local culture or local settings. In other words, we must to re create a company logo to fit the localise conditions.

and for this logo design. i have choice the HerbaLife logo. to be the base of my design. example the Herbalife logo:

For this first assignment. i have made the herbalife logo as my base logo and to redesign it to my own logo.
