Finally the work will be look like this..=)

Word..!!!

for

last process is the word, go to the type tools and copy the wishing word from the example that have been given. color it with yellow color and use georgta the italic the word and using the 37 pt as the size of the word.

color the picture

like before we still use the live paint bucket to color it the picture. red will be the t-shirt color follow with yellow to color the body part. for the heart color i choice ( c-10 m-100 y-50 k-0 ). after finish with the coloring part, use selection tools to bring the image inside the white circle.

to get the fireworks, first u need to go to symbols application then go to the bottom and click symbols libraries menu. go to celebration part and pick up the firework image and drag into the board.

Pooh Heart

search for the picture in online and download it. open the file and bring the picture inside the AI to do the live trace also need to expand. after that use selection tools to bring the picture to project board and deselect it.then go to direct selection tools click the picture and press delete button.

 then use erase tools and erase the both leg and just let the body part only.

Second page

Next is the inside of the birthday card. just like before, repeat the first step at the beginning. go to rectangle tools and click at the board and drag it until A4 size. the color i choice is ( c-50 m-0 y-100 k-0 ). second step still the same, click on rounded rectangle tools and click inside of rectangle shape. center the rounded rectangle just like before.

And for the circle shape, you need to go rectangle tools but click right and choice the fllipse tools and click on the second board. after the circle is appear try to minimize it and put the circle at the right bottom. use the white color as the main color and black color for the stroke with 7 pt.

Word time..!!

go to type tool click it and go to the center of the art board. click and write the word Happy Birthday on it. using the 72 pt size of the word. click align on the top of window to changes the design of the word and i use the Are upper type. for the stroke color i pick up the ( c-50 m-0 y-100 k-10 ) green. for other part of word design. go to appearance click path then off set path like the picture below.

 

Background effect..

Click on the background shape ( round rectangle shape) use selection tools. go on the right icon find gradient application. click the gradient application and go to type choice linear. after that double click on gradient slider block. when u click it, it may help you to change the color of the background and the effect of it. the color i pick up is ( c-50 m-0, y-100 k-10 ).

Symbols Time..!!!

Go to right side of AI. u will fine other application. search for symbols application. click on it, at the bellow of symbols application you will see symbols libraries menu try to click it. then choice nature part and pick up 3 type of leaf. first is maple leaf, maple leaf 2, and maple leaf large. take as many as can. this time use selection tools to  move the leaf image and put it bellow pooh image randomly.

 next step how to get the ballon, cake, and party hat. same as before, go to symbols tools and this time search for celebration part. click on it u will see many symbols of celebration. choice the ballon, cake, and party hat and bring them inside the board. place the ballon on the top of the art board. cake on the hand of Pooh. lastly the party hat on the top of head of Pooh. to put the party head at the back head of the Pooh. push the 'CTRL and [ ' button to make it looks like the picture.

 

color up the image

First thing to do is i zoom in the picture using 'ctrl and +' button at the keyboard. next go to selection tools click on the image. use live paint bucket to paint the image. i use yellow color to paint the Pooh body and red color for the t-shirt design. after finish color it the image. click selection tools and minimize the image and put it at the bellow of the art board.

For this time i use character 'winnie the pooh' as my main picture. search from online and open it in AI. click picture, use live trace then expand the trace. like picture below.

For the second step, minimize the 'pooh' page. go to selection tools then click at the picture and drag the image to the main page of birthday card. after that deselect, goes to direct selection tool click at the image and click delete button at the keyboard and the white background will gone only the image will stay like the picture below.

 

Lets Begin..!!!!

First open a new page in AI, then take A3 size paper to begin the project. click rectangle tools, select color at the path and take (c-85 m-10 y-100 k-10). click on board and drag the rectangle until it become half or A4 size paper like below.

Use the same way as before, but change the rectangle to round rectangle tools. using different color like ( c-50 m-0 y-100 k 10). click it add the art board and drag the shape inside of the first rectangle and center it.

 

Final assignment

Final assignment will be to create a birthday cards from list in the blog, you are required to re-design the card and to add elements of local culture into the cards. The cards shall depict how birthdays are celebrated in your culture.
